One thing my taste buds could not except was rhubarb. We are all different. My wife loves rhubarb pie, and thinks there is something wrong with me for not loving it.

Boiled spinach with a dash of vinegar. or, being of good German stock, some sauerkraut and sausage.
Southern poke salad and collard greens were something my grandmother made us eat.
In the 90's today and record heat this weekend.

I have tried that dish and found the combination very tasty. Then again, I also like vanilla ice cream with crumbled potato chips.

I am 1/5th Irish. I take pride in it but don't really go for the traditional food dishes. Walmart will take your old DVD's and convert them for you. Temps today are in the 90's. Going to the mall and use their air-conditioning.

I went to the almighty YouTube Wizard. It told me to buy a $30. USB/DVD drive. Then pair it with downloaded VLC Media Player software
to your computer. Other, more complicated ways apparently involve understanding Chinese.

I ordered a small portable CD/DVD player from Amazon. Comes with a built in screen. Good enough to go over what I've been saving from many years ago. Weather is staying in the 80's all this week. They are talking about breaking 100 nest week.

Well, back to temps in the 80's going into the 90's by Monday. We are one of several states listed as having the warmest winter ever recorded.

They do eat the prickly pear leaves. When I trim the overgrowth in my yard I throw the leaves over the fence They are gone within a day or two.
It rained last night, maybe half an inch. All rain is good here. High of only 67 today.

The javelina are at the back gate this morning. Usually a herd of 8 or more. They make the rounds around the neighborhood and hit me up every three days. They have become used to people and can be troublesome at times.

Arizona doesn't do the Daylight savings thing. Except on the Indian reservations. A lot of the local indians live on the rez but work off it.
Must be confusing at times.

Rooster Cogburn's ostrich farm. Originally they started raising ostriches for the meat. Later they discovered they could make more money charging tourists to feed them. Still going strong.

Computer problems yesterday. I bought a new router but my service provider [ Xfinity ] couldn't seem to change over from the one they were renting to me. Claimed my security camera system wouldn't allow it. Took most of the day to get it done. back on line now and looking forward to a 90+ sunny day ...

Good morning. Back from Las Vegas and CA. Had a very good visit with an old friend and the Sphere experienced is something else. Highly recommend seeing it if your in the neighborhood.
Temps for the next few days are cooking. High today of 90. Hitting 95 by Monday.

We are staying at the Venetian resort next to the Sphere. A huge place. 34 aches with over 7000 rooms and 40 restaurants. Looking forward to the show and later going to a local White Castle for a burger ...or two...or three.

In the 1990's I had a seafood processing plant operating on a dock on the Puget Sound in Washington State. I get my hair cut at Fernando's. A crazy Mexican who holds court over his three chair barber shop. He plays sports shows on his big 55" TV and comments on the game. He gives a great straight razor shave and does so while watching the game. It can make you nervous when he starts yelling at the screen ...

I eat a cup of blueberries every night. I do a big breakfast to get the day fueled. A light lunch around 2 PM. I hit the sack early and awake before dawn. Kind of a standard old guy life style.

When I lived in Washington State I had an orchard with apple, cherry and cherry plum trees. The crows loved the cherry plums. The robins and blue jays went for the cherries. That left the apples for me. I had one strange type of apple called a Buckely Giant. A wrinkled, light green baseball size ...
