Burning Man never appealed to me. I planned to go to a Rainbow Family gathering when one took place in Wyoming decades ago, but decided that many people in one place would be too overwhelming.

80 years. Wow.

This was the event that meant my father was in the occupation forces instead of the forces that were to invade Japan. He was stationed in Nagasaki starting in December of 1945. He eventually died of non-Hodgkins lymphoma, which got a lot of people exposed to radiation.

Morning. High today is going to be 87. I'm looking forward to cooler temps on the coast this weekend. My grandson has still not seen the ocean, so I splurged on an airbnb for a couple of nights. We'll head back to Wyoming on Tuesday.
