Afternoon. In the upper forties, overcast, and air movement at about 5 mph- not even worth mentioning. I'm just beginning to move around myself after a bad night followed by sleeping all morning. I can handle the fatigue, but I'd sure like to get rid of the headache.

Birds did that with pyrocantha berries in central California. My mom used to set the cat in the window to frighten them away from the bush. Huh. Hadn't thought about that in a few decades.

Got my royalty statement last night which shows more income from writing this year than I used to make at either the museum or the law firm. I also have an article in Wyoming Wildlife this month, but I haven't see it yet.
