61° and it is supposed to only go to the mid 80's today with possible severe T'storms.

Yes it seem strange that people won't heed the warning advisory signs, like take "X" amount of water when hiking in the Saguaro park to see the cacti.
Heard that the power went out in the Casper area due to a little bird got crossed up in a substation.
Past few evenings the nighthawks have been flitting about outside the front of here.

Good morning. A good Tucson day, with a temp range of 77-101.

Morning. Cloudy, 67 degrees, 84 as a high with thunderstorms developing. Naturally this is the day a friend is coming over to drink ice tea in the rose garden.

The substation is just southwest of us. We were out in the yard yesterday morning, heard a boom, and lost power for a couple of hours. Hadn't heard it was a bird. Usually it is a raccoon or squirrel that gets fried.

One of the ranch puppies came home with us night before last. Brodie is Bernese Mountain dog and mountain cur mix, which I guess makes him a Curnese Mountain dog. We hope Bernese size will be mitigated by a smaller breed father and by Brodie being the runt of the litter. He's only seven weeks old, but has been eating solid food for several weeks and has adjusted to his new situation with barely a bit of fuss. Janie the mom is seriously over having ten sharp-toothed little mouths attacking her every time she slows up. Whie we were there, she tried to walk away from them, but three of the little dickens, incuding Brodie, stayed latched on and walked along with her on their back legs.
