The battle of the weeds continues here also, our next door neighbor has no mow May so the dandelions really thrive in there yard. Then I think that extends into no mow whenever for two or more weeks throughout the growing season.

Morning. 62 degrees, smoke, high of 83 today.

I have a new lap top and am gradually getting it set up to be us ful. Just discovered it was set up to correct to British English when I wrote neighbor and it suggested neighbour.

This is the first year in many that we don't have a fire hazard on two sides of our property because the neighbor who owned that land never mowed anything. He died this year so we were able to buy the land to the north and a more conscientious neighbor bought the land to the west. All of us, including the gentleman's widow, feel safer than when we had no defenseable space around us.
