25° and a tease that there may be a slight shower later.


I can't remember when I stayed up until midnight last for the New Year. Grandfather used to let loose with a shotgun blast when I was younger, we tuned in to watch the coverage of NYC at 10 last night.

Good new year morning ! I was out by 10PM last night. Wishing this will be a good year for all !

Happy New Year, gentlemen. Forty degrees here at the foot of the mountain wth winds whipping along at just under 30 mph. My daughter-in-law gave me bulbs for Christmas. First time I've planted bulbs in December.

Being a night person, staying up at least until midnight is what I do almost every night. When we went outside to watch the year come in, it was remarkably quiet despite the relatively mild weather. Last year there were fireworks all over town. This year, we saw four or five roman candles go up, but that was it. Guess everyone went to bed early.

Having taken most of December off, I now face the task of reining in my undisciplined self and getting back to a writing routine. Spent a lot of time thinking about the story and got somethings worked out in my head, so I wasn't completely derelict in my duty.
