Morning all . . . :coffee:

43° guess I won't be needing my sweat pants to go to the gym this morning.

Well as requested I cooked the corned beef in the crock minus the step of adding cabbage. Next thing I know, "this is too tough, did I cook it long enough". Yes I cooked it for the five hours on high as the recipe said. Well . . . I looked at the recipe again and the step to add the cabbage was after five hours and cook another hour on high. So, I guess I should have read through it better, but if I had added cabbage it would have caught that detail. But didn't want cabbage so here we are. BTW it's not too tough, just that it's not flaking apart if you disturb it.

As for the DVD player, maybe look on U tube instruction video with the name and model number and see how to hook it up to a computer? I think it's a real shame that laptops no longer have a disc player / recorder built in, or at least the option to buy a model that does have it.

I am 1/5th Irish. I take pride in it but don't really go for the traditional food dishes. Walmart will take your old DVD's and convert them for you. Temps today are in the 90's. Going to the mall and use their air-conditioning.

Morning. 50 degrees, raining, flood warning. At home, there's a red flag fire warning. Gonna be a long summer in Wyoming.

Thanks for the dvd suggestions. I'll try them all when I get home.

Three-quarters of my ancestors came from Ireland, either because they were native or because they stopped there for a generation or three on their way to America after leaving Scotland. I can take or leave corned beef, but I'd as soon leave the house as smell cabbage cooking.
