Morning everyone . . . :coffee:

58° and might have to fire up the A/C today with a predicted high of 85°

During that trip to Oklahoma we also had fresh poke greens. Have had okra boiled, fried and pickled. Grandfather grew some in his garden one year and saw how fast it grew and waited until they got real big, that was the stringiest stuff you ever put in your mouth, so he would pick before it got much bigger than his little finger.
I think the stringier thing I ever had was some limon grass that was in my bowl of Pho at a Thai restaurant in Sacatomatoes.

One thing my taste buds could not except was rhubarb. We are all different. My wife loves rhubarb pie, and thinks there is something wrong with me for not loving it.
Record heat again this whole week. Today is looking at 100+

Morning. 41 degrees, and look at that: it's raining. What a surprise.

Daughter and husband just left for the hospital for baby having. Hoping everything goes well for her.

My husband and kids all enjoyed eating raw stalks (sans leaves) of rhubard out in the garden. Just the thought sets my teeth on edge.
