Morning all . . .

40° and no flag is stirring this morning.

Will drag out the front water hose so I can start watering the side yard. I have no idea why they didn't run a sprinkler head or two in that area.

Morning. 54 degrees and still. Got most of the roses pruned yesterday and a fraction of the weeds pulled. A friend's daughter wants to learn about plants, so she's coming over Saturday afternoon. I saved her a few roses to prune and will show her the difference between creeping jenny and periwinkle. A kid who wants to pull weeds and get poked with thorns is my kind of girl. It's too early for the wandering gartersnakes to be out, but apparently she's a budding herp nerd, too.
