Windy and warm. High today pushing 100. I have a dear friend in Ventura CA. who is dying of cancer and knows his days are limited.
He called yesterday and asked me if I could attend his funeral. At a feeble attempt at humor I told him I'm pretty busy this year. Can we do it next year? It's hard to deal with.
