Saturday July 5th

Post by Far Rider »

:coffee: Morning all . . .

59° and heading up to 89 or more, the thunder showers here dumped a couple of times yesterday, air is barely moving.

Fireworks happened last night dispite the doom sayers saying the town didn't have the funds for them this year. We can see them from our house SW of the park.
The local street ones finally faded away between 11:00 and 11:30.

Good morning
Watched the fireworks from bed last night. Waking up to a toasty 98, with a side of clouds.

Morning. Already 71 degrees at 8:00, with a high around 90 predicted. Thunderstorms rolled around yesterday. Only got about 10/100ths of an inch on the ridge, but it looked like Bar Nunn to the north of town got a gully washer.

We've been hearing fireworks for several days with the most coming last night. Fourth of July would be a good time to shoot somebody. No one would even notice the noise of the gun going off. The equines headed for the far southwest edge of the pasture and got involved in their eating trip with no further ado. They're used to the sound of target practice out on the ranch, so it didn't take too long for them to settle down from the first fireworks. I even quit jumping after a while.
Mind the thorns.
