Morning all . . . :coffee: ''

43° and sprinkling, looking at the radar this morning there is a huge cell of rain over around the Casper area.

I was remembering one year on a ride from Arkansas I took a route through Iowa, stayed the night at Council Bluffs, turned out their water heater wasn't working, and when I was leaving the office after checking in, I had heard someone asking about how water. I didn't think anything about it until I found out I didn't either. Didn't offer any refund when I said something about it later. I told them they could have told me your hot water heater was out before I checked in. I forget which chain motel it was, but there was a huge softball tournament going on in the area so rooms were kind of scarce.

Afternoon from North Little Rock. Sunny and pleasant. The Google directions to the library were so complex that I gave myself lots of time to get lost. It was, of course, a piece of cake to locate and now I have several hours to sit and read. Ahhhh...

A friend and I stayed in a hotel in Central City, CO that offered only the barest trickle of water in the shower. Two other friends, obviously more affluent than either Rose or I, had a room with plenty of water. Desk clerk shrugged off our inquiries about changing rooms. Too bad there was no Travel Advisor site at the time.

This is my last program for this trip. I brought my aunt up to visit her daughter in Hot Springs, so I'll need to take ber back home. Otherwise, I'd just keep heading home. I miss that old man I live with. I've taken I-80 across Nebraska several times. Not a fan of I-80. Less traffic on I-70 and I like the scenery better. I'm thinking of taking one of the little two lanes that stretch north off of 82 across northern Texas.
Mind the thorns.
