Wednesday October 29th

Morning all . . . :coffee:

22° this morning

Well it seems that the low temperature, that dropped to 20°, just before sunrise, yesterday morning caused my backyard tree to drop all of it's leaves, no wind stuff, just showered down, five trash cans of them from the slab and into the dumpster and ten mower bags full of them I mowed up from the lawn and dumped on the other side of the fence as "mulch". Now to blow out the gutters with the leaf blower snorkel thingy, again.

Morning. 23 degrees and sunny. At this moment, not even the rosebush leaves are trembling, but 20-30 mph winds are predicted later today.

What kind of trees do you have? Our silver poplars actually turned gold this year, which doesn't happen very often. Usually a freeze catches them while they're still green, the leaves die on the branches, and spend a month getting blown off. It'll be nteresting to see if they do a normal leaf drop this year. We've also got a couple of apple trees, a bunch of plums, and a chinese elm that has held on decades past its time. We leave it because it is a habitat tree, but it has gradualy gotten carved away over the years to prevent limbs falling on our heads or powerlines. Someday, most of it will have to come down. I wonder what it would cost to get a chainsaw artist to make something of the tall stump. Too much for us, I imagine.
Mind the thorns.
