Sunday November 16th

Post by Far Rider »

Morning everyone . . . :coffee:

38°

So it looks like today I'll be trying out the corded tree trimmer chain saw, maybe I should wear my helmet just in case of falling limbs, I do have safety goggles for when I use the leaf blower snorkel to blow out my gutters.

I don't know what it is about frying turkeys that people have to try setting themselves on fire. When I was still working the state trooper fleet shop the head office supervisor's husband fried one out in the back lot, it didn't catch fire but some of the oil did spill over, that slick spot lasted a couple of years on the asphalt.
I didn't get to try any as all the troopers at our Mammoth Lakes post needed their cars serviced so as usual I got to work through lunch and they (besides office staff guests) devoured it before I had ten minutes to take a quick break.

Good morning. A little left over California rain is heading our way for the next couple of days. Temps have been from 50's to 80's.
Jan and I are going to shop for a turkey today. To be oven cooked.

Morning. 37 degrees, still, and no sign of the predicted rain.

Our son is a city fire fighter. The fire fighters once did a video of dropping a turkey into a deep fryer located in a three-sided shed. It was a good thing the fire department was standing by.
Mind the thorns.
