Wednesday December 17th

Post by Far Rider »

Morning all . . . :coffee:

49° ? hazard warning of big W here today on NOAA.

Did a ride to Tombstone at the request of a friend one late May, I met him in Kingman at the Dam Bar and Grill, on the return trip we swung through Phoenix and it was 103° and spent the night in Wickenburg.

Oh but the friend had started keeping his spray chemicals in a side storage cabinet, that wasn't east to access.

Morning. 52 degrees, wind steady at around 45 mph. Chance of rain, which explains why so many parts of me are protesting this morning.

Riding in 103 degree weather is not my idea of a good time, but good on you tough ones. I was last in Tombstone about 1983. All I really remember is this huge rose on an overhead trellis that took up hundreds of square feet.
Mind the thorns.

Good morning. I rode my bike to Tombstone a decade ago. Have a photo of it parked in front of the OK corral All the streets now are closed to motorized vehicles. Nice 2hr ride from Tucson. Temps today range from 48-75 and sunny. I remember the rose bush. Wyatt Earp, in his days there, used to use a phone to call and check on his mine holdings. He liked to hang out at the local ice cream parlor.
