Sunday January 25th

Post by Far Rider »

Morning all . . . :coffee:

Minus one here this morning, so far the overnight snow hasn't shown up.

I sure do mis the wood stove we had in the place back in cali. I do have what looks like a high end fireplace in the basement with the hot air circulation in it and the blower controls are on the wall. I have a wood laid in with tinder and ready to go if I so desire to fire it up. But we don't hang in the basement. Sure wish I had transported more eucalyptus and almond wood than I did to here.

Good morning 49-55 today. Cold ,for us. We do keep the sunshine.
Trying to de-packrat myself. I have "stuff" in boxes I haven't gone through in 6 years. Now I can't remember what's in them, or why I once thought I couldn't live without them.

Morning. Six degrees, light snow, no air movement to speak of. We have a fireplace downstairs that we ever use and a stove insert in the upstairs fireplace which has been in use the last several days. The stove was a bit of an investment, but we've enjoyed it and have probably broken even on it by now. It circulates and burns the smoke somehow. Standing outside and lookinf at the chimney, oyou'd never know there was a woodstove burning. We go in with our son to buy a semi load of wood every so often. They heat almost exclusively with wood.
Mind the thorns.
